Evidence
When planning instruction, I always keep the goals and objectives for the unit or lesson in mind as write out my detailed plans for each day. As I write the goals and objectives for my lessons, I research the subject matter to find possible questions or ideas to guide my planning. As I write my lessons, I allow for flexibility in my instruction because I know any lesson could change at a moments notice. I must be prepared to address these moments during the lesson or be willing to come back to them in the future, therefore pacing sometimes becomes an issue. I know in time, I will grow in my understanding of lesson and activity pacing. I am confident in my ability to plan instruction based on the curriculum goals and my students abilities, and incorporate the North Carolina Standard Course of Study into my units.
